2026 Hemmings Great Race presented by Coker Tire - Day 3

The days are clicking along and we're making our way along Route 66. Yesterday covered the entire state of Missouri, and today's route sent us into Kansas and Oklahoma for more great Route 66 scenery. The route started with the Rainbow Bridge, a cool ride through Baxter Springs, Kansas and a tour of Ribbon Road, which is in sad shape. Our competitors endured the rough roads, combined with soggy conditions, which resulted in extremely dirty cars for the rest of the day. The sun finally came out as we approached the lunch stop at the Will Rogers Memorial Museum in Claremore, Oklahoma. We were treated to a hearty bowl of chili and then back on the road.

After lunch, we had a special pit stop in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. This Route 66 town was recently revitalized with new city streets, sidewalks and lighting and it was amazing! We stopped for a quick snack and then back to the route for our afternoon course along Route 66. Finally, we landed in Stockyards City in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The sun shined brightly on our hosted evening stop and we enjoyed a great meal as things wrapped up for the evening. After the scores were tallied, it was the team of Buddy Green and Trevor Stahl once again taking home the stage victory. This time, they scored an astonishing 4.05 seconds. This put them at the top of the heap in the cumulative score after three days of competition. Tomorrow, we cross into Texas, where the action will heat up even more!
