Join the Great Race Crew
Good people. A shared adventure.
Help bring the Great Race to life alongside the people who keep it moving.
Is It a Good Fit?
Crew life offers a memorable adventure and demanding work. Here’s what to consider before expressing interest.
What Makes It Worthwhile
- Working with a fun, dedicated team.
- Being around vintage cars and the people who love them.
- Experiencing the Great Race from behind the scenes.
- Traveling to new places along the route.
What to Be Prepared For
Depending on your role, crew work can involve:
- Flying to or from an event.
- Driving longer distances between stops.
- Working very long event days.
- Spending most of the day outside in all weather conditions.
- Standing for long periods of time.
- Doing lots of walking throughout the day.
- Lifting and moving heavy boxes and equipment.
- Staying flexible when plans or schedules change.
You do not need to be a match for every task. We will discuss the specific duties and requirements before agreeing on an assignment.
There’s More Than One Way to Help
Crew opportunities vary by event. We welcome interest in these areas:
Bring Things Together
Event setup and teardown, organization, transportation, and logistics.
Connect with People
Customer service, merchandise sales, and helping people feel welcome.
Share Your Skills
Mechanical experience, photography, media, or other skills that could contribute to the event.
Support the Competition
Checkpoint operations, scoring, and other competition crew responsibilities.
Be Part of the Journey
For the main Great Race, crew members must be available for the entire route and may need to arrive a few days before the official start. Allow for travel to and from the event when considering your availability.
