Many participants come to the Great Race with little or no previous rally experience.
Rally School, the Rookie Handbook, and the Spring Rally provide opportunities to learn the basics, practice rallying, and prepare your team before the main event.
If both you and your partner are new to Great Race competition, you will compete in the Rookie Division.
Driver + Navigator
Each competing vehicle relies on a driver and navigator working together. One person controls the car while the other follows the Course Instructions, manages timing, and keeps the team on route.
Teams come in all forms: friends, couples, siblings, parents and children, business partners, and multiple generations of the same family.

Vehicle eligibility is governed by the current Event Regulations. Great Race is designed around antique, vintage, and collector vehicles, with competition divisions and scoring rules that recognize different levels of participant experience and vehicle age.
