A little preparation at home can make registration, Technical Inspection and your first days on the road much easier.

Driver & Navigator Licenses
Confirm required Competition Crew members have valid licenses.
Vehicle Registration
Bring current documentation for the competing vehicle.
Ownership or Permission
Be prepared to document permission if the entrant does not own the vehicle.
Proof of Insurance
Confirm coverage meets the current Great Race requirements.
Arrive Rally-Ready
Test reliability before leaving home. You want to find problems during practice, not during the event.
Address known mechanical issues and routine maintenance before traveling.
Verify your speedometer, timing equipment and other rally equipment comply with the current Event Regulations.
Carry reasonable vehicle-specific items that may be difficult to locate along the route.
Don't Forget the Small Stuff
A well-organized navigator workspace can make a long rally day much easier. Bring the supplies your team plans to use and a few backups.
Review the Rally School Resources
You do not need to become an expert before your first Great Race, but understanding the basics ahead of time will make the experience much more enjoyable.
Prepare the Whole Team
Everyone traveling with your team should understand their role before the event begins.
Support vehicles do not follow participants on the competition route. Each day, support crews receive their own official driving directions.
Review support crew instructions, parking expectations, meeting requirements and daily procedures with everyone traveling with your team.
When You Arrive
Give yourself enough time for registration, Technical Inspection, meetings, and other required pre-event steps. Arriving prepared helps keep the process moving for your team and everyone else.
Give Yourself Time to Practice.
New participants will enjoy the event much more if the basic rally concepts feel familiar before the first competition day. We strongly encourage rookies to attend the Spring Rally whenever possible.
