Scott Henderson X-Cup Legacy Scholarship
The Scott Henderson X-Cup Legacy Scholarship supports students involved in the Great Race who demonstrate dedication, technical skill, and sportsmanship in the X-Cup Legacy program. The scholarship helps fund post-secondary education or trade certification while encouraging the preservation of vintage automotive culture.
To apply, students must complete the below items by June 1st. All items can be found at https://www.x-cuplegacy.org/team-application-1 website.
· Complete the electronic application under the Scholarship Application page.
· Send the Official Advisor Recommendation Form verifying 15 hours of service and Proof of Enrollment/Acceptance (i.e. Letter from the institution or unofficial transcript) to info@x-cuplegacy.com.
Scholarship eligibility requirements include:
· Active participation in a recognized X-Cup Legacy program for the current race year.
o Including participation in at least one full day of the Great Race as an official Driver or Navigator.
· At least 15 hours of verified pre-race team service (restoration, maintenance, fundraising, outreach, etc.).
· Current enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited trade school, technical college, or university.
· Applicants must submit (included on the electronic application on website) a 300–500 word essay about what they wish to gain out of their experience in the X-Cup Legacy program, or what they have gained if they have participated in the past, and how it relates to their interest in automotive preservation or future career goals.
Scholarship winners will be announced at the Great Race Awards Banquet. Funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s educational institution and may only be used for qualified educational expenses such as tuition and fees. Recipients must sign a Terms of Acceptance form, to be provided at the end of the Great Race before funds are distributed.
