Great Race Purse Increased!

The Great Race has announced an increase in the total payout for this year’s event by adding $11,250 in daily prize money. Each day on the nine day event will see the winner of each division – Grand Championship, Expert, Sportsman and Rookie – get a plaque and a check for $250. In addition, the overall daily winner will receive another $250 to bring that team’s total winnings for the day to $500. Great Race staff will also present the plaques to the winners at the end of each day parc ferme. Checks will be presented at the closing banquet in California along with any other winnings the teams may have accumulated. The increase brings the total event purse to $158,750. Participants will get a complete breakdown of prize money in a supplement sent via email.
