Great Race Mentioned in Hemmings Muscle Machines

February 27, 2019

We love it when a Hemmings publication hits our desk. Whether it’s the flagship Hemmings Motor News, or the Classic Car or Muscle Machines titles, we can always count on great content. Our copy of the April 2019 Hemmings Muscle Machines landed at the office this week and we were thrilled to see an article about enjoying your collector car. It featured various ways to get out and drive, and included time-speed-distance rallies. Great Race Director, Jeff Stumb is quoted in the article, and it’s a great piece to show off some of the vintage muscle that has participated in years past.

In the old days of the Great Race, we had pretty strict age requirements for vehicles. Now that it’s opened up to 1974, we’re seeing lots of folks opting for a muscle car, rather than a Pre-WWII vehicle. These cars still continue the spirit of the event, and offer spectators a view of cars that they may actually remember. If you’re not already a subscriber, be sure to sign up at www.hemmings.com, or go pick up a copy off the newsstand.
