The third and final day of rallying at the Coker Tire Great Race Spring Rally presented by Stahls Automotive Collection was cold, wet and windy, making for another tough day on the route. It was a short day, with the first car arriving back in Owensboro before lunch time, but that’s not to say it was an easy day. The short route gave very little margin for error, and the tough weather conditions were persistent from start to finish. Although we would’ve loved for better weather, the competition was tight and we celebrated a great finish with an award ceremony and lunch. It was Jeff and Eric Fredette who battled to the top of the leaderboard in their 1933 Ford pickup truck, with Jody Knowles and Beth Gentry following closely behind. The final award to be given at the Spring Rally is the Spirit of the Event award, and this year it went to Rick Greene for his intense dedication to Great Racing.
