This morning I left Reno, Nevada eager to hit the road. Little did I know I would be traveling on the loneliest road in America. Although the road has received it’s name rightfully, the scenery received on this road was well worth it. We arrived in Austin, Nevada, a small town with the population of 150 for lunch. The town was full of charm, and hospitality. Just as soon as the racers came, it was time for them to go. They hit the road again leaving from Austin headed to Elko, Nevada. The cars began to file in one by one at the Elko Convention Center.
Tomorrow we will be heading into the third and fourth states of eight on this year’s Hemmings Motor News Great Race Presented By Hagerty. Racers will enjoy lunch on their own in Wendover, Utah, and from there will make the drive into Evanston, Wyoming for the night.
Wyoming get ready, because the Great Race is coming for ya!
