The Alfred State ’53 Dodge Wrecker Decorated for Christmas!

January 4, 2016

Wrecker
In the last six months since running in their first Great Race in the X-Cup division, the Alfred State team and their 1953 Dodge Power Wagon wrecker has been just about everywhere. They took the truck from their campus in New York to the start of the Great Race in Kirkwood, Missouri in June, and then they made every mile of the Great Race along Route 66 to Santa Monica, California.

Since returning home, the team has had the truck on display at the fall AACA meet in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and various other car shows and exhibits. They even dressed it up for Christmas. The picture shows the Great Race Power Wagon in front of the historical Wellsville, New York, library. The truck is in the full holiday regalia the students came up with for the Wellsville holiday parade. The next time you will see the truck will be in San Rafael, California in June at the start of the 2016 Great Race along the Lincoln Highway to Moline, Illinois.
