Great Race Spring Regional Rally Day 2 Coverage

May 20, 2023

After a challenging day one, we regrouped and hit the road this morning with the sun shining brightly. We headed Southeast on today’s route, eventually crossing into Ohio. We grabbed lunch in Wapakoneta, Ohio before making our way back toward the home base of Auburn, Indiana. The day’s course was challenging with dozens of turns on each leg and plenty of traffic to navigate, but overall it was a smooth day of rally action through the beautiful farmland of Indiana and Ohio. We ended our day passing through a beautiful covered bridge in Spencerville, Indiana, before rolling into the finish line at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn. Rally participants were provided dinner inside the ACD Museum, which gave everyone a chance to make a lap through the museum. We were also able to check out the National Auto & Truck Museum, which is located on the same piece of property as the ACD Museum. Access to all of these great museums and collections has been one of the greatest parts of the Great Race Spring Regional Rally presented by Stahls Automotive Foundation. Tomorrow, we have a short day of rallying but we’ll be crowning champions so stay tuned for results! For now, let’s take a look at highlights from Day 2!

  • 😇 Angels in Decatur Indiana! 🏁.
Amy Howell and Kenny Fisher helped get us (#144 ‘62 Chevy Nova) back on the road after breaking down in front of their house.
❤️🙏 Also a huge thank you to the gentleman who stopped his truck in front protecting us from any harm from oncoming traffic on the blind hill.
