The first Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty rally car has arrived in Kirkwood, Missouri at the Holiday Inn for the 2015 event. It is Buddy Green’s 1962 Corvair Spyder turbocharged car. Pat and Pat Brothers arrived a little later and are already delighting the residents of Kirkwood with their 1931 Buick speedster as they motor around town. The eight Japanese cars have arrived in Missouri after getting hung up in customs for a few weeks, but they are still in storage at MotoXotica just outside of town.
More than 100 teams will continue to flow into Kirkwood over the next two days as the Great Race draws near. The green flag waves at 10am on Saturday, June 20th in downtown Kirkwood.

It has been great fun “motoring” around town! Had a delicious lunch at Spencer’s Grill. A fabulous 50’s style cafe with great food and a very fun staff! Their windows are decoratd with the Great Race Logo and Route.
