Great Racers were up and at it early this morning, headed through Wyoming, with the final destination being Rapid City, South Dakota. The morning began with gorgeous views of rolling hills and pastures where cows grazed peacefully. They rode with the wind into the fairgrounds of Lusk, Wyoming where lunch was served.

The Hemmings Motor News Great Race Presented By Hagerty gave racers the opportunity to travel through miles of beautiful countryside. Racers traveled through the badlands and into South Dakota, where buffalo roamed freely. Custer State Park was one of the high points of today with jaw dropping scenery. Their journey continued through Guernsey State Park with beautiful rocks and hills as far as the eye could see. Racers later went into the city of Keystone, South Dakota, where Mount Rushmore is located. After a visit with the presidents, and a sense of American pride better restored, the racers were on the road again.

The teams’ long travels came to and end for the day in Rapid City, South Dakota. Saint Joseph Street was lined with people who awaited to see each and every car roll in to the finish gate. Though only three more days remain in the 2016 Hemmings Motor News Great Race Presented By Hagerty, a million more miles, a thousand more smiles, and a few hundred more miles do remain. Lets all embrace these last few days with our family, and friends the best we can.

With pure joy and happiness,
