The 2017 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty from Jacksonville, Florida to Traverse City, Michigan has sold out in record time according to director Jeff Stumb. The event, which starts June 24, 2017 accepted the final entry August 8 one week earlier than last year.
A waiting list has been established for those interested, and any cancellations will be filled from it. The waiting list will also give those who do not get an opportunity to participate in the 2017 event first priority at entering the 2018 Great Race next Spring. To access the waiting list, click this link, fill out the short form and submit: https://www.greatrace.com/2016-entry-fees.
Traverse City, of course, is home to presented by sponsor Hagerty Classic Car Insurance and the finish there will coincide with the annual Cherry Festival. Title sponsor Hemmings Motor News will feature the complete route from Florida to Michigan in the coming months. More information can be found at www.greatrace.com or by calling 800-989-7223.
I urge anyone interested in participating in the Great Race to fill out the waiting list form. If you don’t get in the 2017 event it will give you priority for the 2018 race.
Hi Jeff,
I’m still building my car but I would like to be added to the list for the 2018 Great Race.
Thanks,
Craig
How do I apply for 2018
Will there be a Great American Tour also? We did the first one and would love to go again.
When & where is the great American tour?
When will the 2018 race be held?. What is the route?. How can I sign up for it?
This look like so much fun! I can’t wait to get more info. Is there more infomation about the hotels in that area?
I submitted a request to be put on the 2017 waiting list a few days ago. I am talking with a potential sponsor and would like to know where I stand for the 2017 event. If it looks like a pretty good chance of taking the place of a drop out I will continue my talks with him. thanks Mike Carroll
The race is passing my house now on Nubia Rd almost to the KY Line.Great to watch. Thanks
