The Leslie Special Arrives in St. Paul!

June 19, 2013

Great Race 2013

Great Race director Jeff Stumb drives the Leslie Special just after its arrival in Minnesota for the 2013 event. The car, owned by competitor Ted Stahl, is the original car from the 1965 movie the Great Race starring Tony Curtis. This is not the first time for the Leslie Special to be a part of the Great Race. It was involved in the 2004 event as a promotion and it even delivered the late Tony Curtis to the finish line.

  • Hello, Our Antique Car Club of America is hosting a car a National and Regional car meet in June of 2015 at the Independence Event Center just outside of Kansas City in Independence MO.
We expect to have 700 cars here since we are located in the middle of the US.Our plan is to have a movie night at one of our local drive in theatres and show the movie The Great Race.
Would it be possible to have the Leslie Special make an appearance here for 2-3 days at our event.
