Remember a few months ago when we announced the Great American Tour? It’s a relaxed classic car road trip that will take in all the sights of Route 66. While the Great Race is all about competition, the Great American Tour is about the drive, and the inaugural year features approximately 25 classic cars. The tour will not interfere with the Great Race, but it will be a part of a few overnight stops, such as our massive evening stop in San Bernardino, California on Saturday, June 27th. The Great American Tour got started today, heading northeast into Illinois, to check out Soulsby’s Service Station in Mt. Olive, Illinois. From there, we came back to Kirkwood, Missouri through a driving rain storm. Check out some of the photos from the first day of the Great American Tour and stay tuned for more updates. Enjoy!
