The 2014 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty is just over a week away, and every participant should have already received via email a registration appointment time to speed up the process of the technical inspection. Every five minutes, based on order of entry, a new team is assigned a time for registration. If your paperwork is in order as it should be, you will spend five minutes in registration and another 20 minutes in tech and you will be done. The eliminates the waiting in lines.
And, for those of you who dont have the early morning times, you can run the measured mile as many times as you would like to calibrate your speedometer while you wait for your time slot. The measured mile will be available at West Meadow Pub at the Meadowmere Resort Motel, 74 Main Street, between 8:00 AM and Noon or 1:00 and 3:00 PM Thursday.
The slots for each registration time are below. If you miss your time, there will be time slots at the end of the day for makeups. Registration is Thursday only as it has been for three straight years.
I have a 31 ford pickup with a 49-53 ford flathead engine. My grandson and I are interested in participating in the Great Race next year 2015. Would I be eligible? when and where will the race be run next year?
