This morning as we packed our bags, and readied ourselves before heading out of Springfield, Missouri; I realized that there isn’t many events as cool as The Great Race. It’s not every day that you are able to see over 100 vintage cars, much less over 100 vintage cars going from Missouri to California; and I am beyond blessed to be a part of this event. It truly has helped me become who I am today, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. The scenery was beautiful today as we traveled to Claremore, Oklahoma. It was great to be greeted by all the Fathers, and veterans on this sunny day. A few hours later after a wonderful lunch, and a lot of fun it was time to hit the road. After a long drive we arrived in Oklahoma City, which I soon found out is a place I will definitely be re-visiting! It is such a beautiful city, and our location, which was right out side of the Dodger Stadium was spectacular. After a trip to the Sonic headquarters for dinner it was simply time for bed! As always it was a great day on the trip of a lifetime that you can take every year. Hope your Father’s day was great, and that you spent it around an old car just as I did for so many years with my Grandfather.
