Jack Miller, friend of the Great Race and host of the 2012 lunch stop in Ypsilanti at his Automotive Heritage Museum in Depot Town, has fittingly agreed to have the museum serve as the home to the National Hudson Motor Car Museum, the nation’s first institution devoted entirely to the Hudson brand.

Miller Motors has been in the building continuously since 1932 when his father sold new cars, including Hudsons. Known to many as Mr. Hudson, Jack has kept the doors open to the complex even though Hudson went out of business in 1957.

  • I cherish the book Jack Miller wrote on Hudsons. He gave it to me on one of my last trips to Ypsilanti. Jack also forwards funny and interesting emails to me a couple of times a week so I know he is doing well in his apartment overlooking the Michigan Firehouse Museum in Depot Town.

  • I purchased a 1935 4 door Hudson Terraplane (all doors are suicide doors) in June of last year!!!! (2013) I would like to send you some pictures. I know you would appreciate this beautiful Hudson as we do. The Hudson has been voted “Best of Show” a few times and has won many trophies at car shows!!!! It had a frame off restoration approximately 16 years ago. It is all original on the outside, painted black with spoke rims and wide white sidewalls!!!! The engine is a GM 350ci, the engine compartment is all chromed out. The firewall and radiator shroud was hand made especially for the Hudson and is polished stainless steel!!! There are too many features to the Hudson to list here but I could send you a list with the pictures if you wish. I am sure the Hudson would deserve at least a picture in your new museum!!!
