Looking for a turnkey car for the 2015 Great Race along Route 66? Well, Howard Sharp has one for you. The 2011 Grand Champion is selling his 1932 Ford Dirt Track Racer that has competed in more than a dozen Great Races since it was built in the 1980s specifically for the event.

The car has been raced by a number of competitors through the years, including Howard and his son Doug, and Ty Holmquist and his wife Pam. Most recently it was campaigned in the 2013 Great Race by Sam Damico and his son and it never had a problem. It has radial tires and performance numbers. Through the years it has won its class a couple of times. He is asking $20,000.

The Great Race has been successful in pairing race-ready cars with new owners, including most recently hooking up Mike and Oli Hallowes from England with Dave Coon’s 1954 Chevrolet for the 2014 race.

Howard also has an original 1940 4-door Chevrolet for sale that he says would make a nice Great Race car some day for someone. He is asking $7,500 for the Chevy.
