Today, we started our journey in the state of Pennsylvania. Before going on the clock, we crossed into Delaware, and rallied through some great back roads, on our way to lunch in Millsboro, Delaware. Great Racer, Bob Bryan, is the Mayor of Millsboro, so he led the pack into his home town. A great showing in Millsboro also resulted in an awesome car show, with more than one hundred classic cars on display. Last night saw a BUNCH of mechanical issues, including Jeff and Eric Fredette completely removing the engine and transmission in order to repair the trans. They got it back together, and had an excellent day, which put them into the overall lead!

We have been blessed with exceptionally good weather, and today was no different. After Millsboro, the racers snaked through the back roads, and ended up in the historic downtown of Berlin, Maryland. The bustling downtown had lots of folks who were very interested in the Great Race, and we found out that Berlin was the town used in the hit movie, “Runaway Bride”. From there, we motored along through farm land and eventually hopped on the highway, which led us to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. The bridge is downright crazy, and it enabled us to get some great shots! Finally, we landed in Portsmouth, Virginia for a great dinner stop. Check out our favorite shots from today, and click here to see today’s scores!

  • been there, done that. In 2007 we replaced our Model A transmission twice! Congratulations Eric and Jeff on the great score today. It makes all the hard work last night worth it now.

  • I’m so happy for the Fredette Team (and family). They represent the best of the Great Race family. Great Job!!

  • Want to Welcome & Thank the Great Race Family for stopping in Portsmouth last night. Was great to see you all come in and then get to chat and talk with you all. Was a great night full of great people and great cars. Definitely an event and time I will remember for years to come. Best of luck to you all as you continue your travel south. Hope to see you all again soon…
