Cyndy McKone, the host of the Great Race lunch stop in Peoria on Monday, June 24, and the wife of 20-year Great Race veteran Rich McKone, visited with Tony Kanaan after his win Sunday in a different kind of race. Kanaan won his first Indy 500 after more than a dozen years of trying and was by far the crowd favorite. Rich McKone will be competing in the Great Race from St. Paul to Mobile in his trusty 1936 Ford. He will be gunning for his first title and the $50,000 check which goes to the winning team.
