The 2012 Hemmings Motor News Great Race presented by Hagerty had a great addition this year with Best Home Furnishings coming on board as a sponsor. Along with being the sponsor for the “Ace” award, Best Home Furnishings gave away one of its high quality leather recliners to a Great Race participant. For 2012, Best provided a $1,000 check to the team with the most Aces, and entered each team that got an Ace into a drawing–the more Aces you won, the better your chances of winning the recliner. The lucky winner was Chad Nelson from Titusville, Florida. Chad is a longtime Great Race enthusiast and participated in the X-Cup division with his navigator, Brandon Schindler. They piloted a 1930 Ford Model A speedster and finished first in the X-Cup division. Congrats Chad!
