It’s only about three and a half months until 120 vintage automobiles will gather in San Rafael, California for the start of the 2016 Great Race. There are a lot of firsts happening this year, including the largest field of race cars ever. It is also the first time in 17 years since the Great Race started on the West Coast and traveled east. In that field of 120 automobiles will be Jay Reinan’s 1918 American LaFrance, which last participated in the 1994 Great Race.
